Adaobi Nkeokelonye is a Social Development Researcher, with over 8 years working experience holding different positions in diverse sectors of development. She has worked on issues of HIV/AIDS, Environment, Agriculture, Climate Change, Gender Equality, Reproductive and Sexual Health, Female Genital Mutilation, consulting for UNFPA, Unicef, Action Aid, USAID, DFID, IITA, CRS, British Council amongst others. Having worked with many local and international institutions, she has expanded her knowledge of development issues across a broad spectrum. Through these experiences, she gained an exposure to community issues, and to the roles played by organisations and individuals in shaping the future.
She is a Fellow of LEAD (Leadership for Environment and Development), holding a Masters in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Sussex, England. She had her postgraduate studies in Social Work from the University of Ibadan, and her undergraduate studies in English Language from the University of Lagos, both in Nigeria.
Currently, is exploring the linkages between fiction and development. She is interested in Agricultural development, Gender Equality, Corporate Social Responsibility, Aid, Climate Change and other emerging development issues.
